Our inspection team ensures assets of our clients meet safety and reliability standards, delivering peace of mind.
We are a CSA W178.1 certified inspection company and offer non-destructive inspection and/or mechanical testing services across industries.
CWB Weld Engineering
Kova Engineering (Saskatchewan) Ltd. offers weld engineering services and is certified to CSA W47.1 by the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). We maintain high standards for welding quality and reliability.
Our engineers hold the following CWB certifications, ensuring that welding projects of our clients comply with the highest standards:
- CWB Retained Welding Engineer for Fusion Welding
- CSA W47.1 (Steel)
- CSA W47.2 (Aluminum)
- CSA W186 (Reinforcing Bars)
We develop and certify welding procedures and specifications in accordance with CSA standards (CSA W59.1 for steel, CSA W59.2 for aluminum, and CSA W186 for reinforcing bars) to optimize welding operations and ensure quality.

Non-Destructive Testing
Kova Engineering (Saskatchewan) Ltd.’s inspection team specializes in a variety of inspection services, including non-destructive testing (NDT.), also known as non-destructive examination (NDE) which includes visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant testing, and much more. These methods are crucial in various industries to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of materials and structures. NDT is employed during manufacturing, construction, and in-service inspections to detect and assess defects, discontinuities, or irregularities without compromising the functionality or structural integrity of the inspected item.
Our inspectors are certified to meet Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), American Welding Society (AWS), and Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) standards for inspection procedures such as:
- Magnetic particle (Level 2)
- Liquid penetrant (level 2)
- Ultrasonic (level 2)
